Understanding these guidelines helps ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate in the democratic process while maintaining workplace compliance.<br><br>In Alabama, employers are required to provide registered voters with up to one unpaid hour off to vote in a primary or general election, as long as the employee gives reasonable notice. However, if an employee&#8217;s work shift starts at least two hours after the polls open or ends at least two hours before they close, the employer is not obligated to grant voting leave.\u00a0\u00a0Ala.
