2025 Maximum Contribution Levels for Health Savings Account

The IRS has announced the 2025 maximum contribution levels for health savings accounts (HSAs) as well as the out-of-pocket spending limits and minimum deductibles for high deductible health plans (HDHPs) that must be paired with HSAs.
2025 Limits
- HSA Contributions:
- For individuals with self-only coverage: $4,300 annually.
- For individuals with family coverage: $8,550 annually.
- HDHP Out-of-Pocket Maximums:
- Self-only coverage: $8,300 annually.
- Family coverage: $16,600 annually.
- HDHP Minimum Deductibles:
- Self-only coverage: $1,650 annually.
- Family coverage: $3,300 annually.
Additionally, the IRS announced the 2025 maximum amount available for excepted benefit health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs) is $2,150.
